What is deleted

• Your email, display name, and password hash.
• Saved desks, places, sports teams, locality, and custom categories.
• Signed-in sessions and opaque mobile tokens.
• The digest send log that tied past editions to your account.

What is retained, and for how long

• Deleted immediately: account, password hash, prefs, sessions, digest send log.
• Stripe keeps its own payment records under Stripe's retention rules (typically years for tax). The desk does not store card numbers.
• Apple and Google keep their own App Store / Play billing records. Cancel and refund stay in those stores.
• Digests already delivered stay in your mailbox. The desk does not recall them.
• Host access logs (IP, user-agent) and hashed ops-alert fragments may remain up to 30 days.
• Resend keeps outbound send metadata under Resend's retention policy.

How to request deletion

1. Sign in and confirm deletion on this page, or
2. Enter the account email below. We mail a 7-day confirmation link from the desk. The link uses the same HMAC token pattern as confirm-email and digest preference links, with purpose delete.
3. Mobile apps may call DELETE /api/auth/me with the same Bearer token used on the rest of the mobile API.

Apple and Google subscriptions are billed by those stores. Deleting the desk account stops digest mail and our entitlement record. Cancel auto-renew in Settings / Play subscriptions so the store stops charging. Refunds go through Apple or Google, not this site.
